MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops

Welcome to MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops course! In this course, students will examine planning and deployment methods using both on-premise and cloud solutions. Students will learn the differences and benefits of each method, and guidance for which to choose in various scenarios. Content will include methods for new deployments, as well as strategies for upgrading and migrations. Students will learn how to configure, manage, and protect users and devices at scale.

This course helps prepare for exam MD-101. This course the second of two courses supporting the Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification. It is recommended that students complete course MD-100 - Windows Client prior to taking this course.

The Modern Desktop enables simplified management of your desktops, devices, cloud services and compliance. It enables more flexibility in how your users work, while keeping organizational data safe. These courses will help you, as the Modern Desktop Administrator, learn about these technologies and how to use them.

Throughout the course you will be provided with the opportunity of completing a series of hands-on labs that will test your ability to perform tasks in the software. Practice labs appear embedded throughout the course near where you learned a skill. These labs allow you to practice what you just learned through a hosted virtual software environment accessed through a web-browser.
